WHSS senior ladies win District 4 volleyball championship

MOUNT FOREST – The Senior Women Volleyball workforce from Wellington Heights Secondary Faculty (WHSS) captured the District 4 Championship on Feb. 14 throughout a playoff match held on the Mount Forest college. 

After shedding the primary set of a semi-final match with the Norwell District Secondary Faculty from Palmerston, the WHSS Wolverines battled again, taking three straight units for the win. 

The workforce then moved on to the District 4 remaining towards Westside Secondary Faculty from Orangeville later within the day.

“The matchup proved to be a really thrilling one for the followers readily available, because it went to the total 5 units with the intention to decide a winner,” states a press launch from the varsity.

“Wellington Heights received within the fifth set to win the District 4 Sr. Women Volleyball Championship for the primary time within the college’s historical past.”

Faculty officers say coaches Bridget Kosempel and Adam Barnard are “very happy with their workforce’s accomplishment, they usually appreciated the fan help, which created an exhilarating ambiance for the coed athletes.”  

The WHSS workforce now strikes on to the Central Western Ontario Secondary Colleges Affiliation (CWOSSA) match on Feb. 23 in Kitchener.
