Ian Bell to play Basement Café at Harriston library on April 21

HARRISTON – The Minto Arts Council’s subsequent Basement Café live performance will characteristic the multi-talented Ian Bell.

Bell, a local of Waterford, will carry out on the Harriston public library basement on April 21 at 8 pm.  

Arts council officers notice Bell is a musician, visible artist and former museum curator who performs guitar, banjo, button accordion and a number of different devices. 

“Our opening act is at all times an area up-and-coming musical expertise. We welcome Bernie Hale, an aspiring composer, singer-songwriter and actor,” officers state.

 Hale, a Grade 10 pupil at Norwell District Secondary Faculty, not too long ago carried out with MooreBand on the group’s Feb. 14 live performance on the Harriston City Corridor Theatre. 

As a people musician Bell has carried out solo or with quite a few teams throughout Canada and in the USA for the reason that late Nineteen Seventies.  He was an everyday musical contributor to Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Café, Recent Air and different CBC radio applications. Following the discharge of three CDs of unique materials, Ian has created two recordings of conventional songs and tunes – My Pious Associates & Drunken Companions and his newest, Overlook Me Not When Far Away – a set of songs in regards to the Nice Lakes.
