Brother, sister from Elora earn medals at karate World Championships

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Siblings Hannah and Ethan Wright from Elora not too long ago travelled to Orlando, Florida to compete on the World Karate Fee (WKC) World Championships Oct. 23 to 27.

To get this spot they each needed to compete provincially and end within the high eight. They then completed within the high 4 nationally to get invited to the world stage.

“Lots of our workforce, they performed very well,” Hannah mentioned.

That is the 17-year-old’s fourth time competing on this planet championships.

“My first worlds had been in 2019,” Hannah mentioned. “I bear in mind I bought third in fight- ing that point.
