AMC+ launched a sneak-peek clip for the upcoming new espionage thriller The Ipcress File. Primarily based on the globally famend Len Deighton novel and tailored by Oscar-nominated and BAFTA award-winning screenwriter John Hodge (Trainspotting, T2 Trainspotting), starring Joe Cole (Gangs of London, Peaky Blinders) as iconic British spy Harry Palmer alongside Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody, Homicide on the Orient Specific) and BAFTA award-winner Tom Hollander (Satisfaction & Prejudice, The Night time Supervisor, Birdbox).
The twist-laden spy thriller, initially immortalized by Michael Caine within the basic 1965 film, provides a classy and tense story of kidnapped scientists, brainwashing, inter-departmental rivalry, treason, and a probably unwise romance. Directed by Emmy winner James Watkins (McMafia, Black Mirror, The Girl In Black) and set in Berlin and London throughout the Nineteen Sixties, The Ipcress File will make its unique U.S. & Canadian premiere on AMC+ Thursday, Might 19, with episodes rolling out weekly on Thursdays.
